2. Data stored by DimNote
DimNote stores the project names, imported photos, annotations, measurements, angles, calibration values, display names and appearance preference needed to provide the app.
3. Projects, photos and annotations
Projects, photos and annotations are created and managed by you. Measurements and angles are saved with the related photo so that you can edit, export or restore them later.
4. Local app-private storage
The ordinary DimNote project database and canonical imported photos are stored in app-private storage on your device. Other apps cannot normally access this storage through the Android shared file system.
5. Android system backup and device transfer
If Android system backup is enabled, eligible DimNote data may be backed up by Android/Google according to your device and account settings. NovaCoreLabs does not operate or access Android/Google backup contents. Platform storage limits, encryption capabilities and device settings can affect this process.
6. Manual DimNote backups
DimNote can create a manual .dimnote backup when the feature is available to your account. A manual backup contains the local project data and photo files needed for restoration. The Pro entitlement itself is excluded from manual backups.
7. Exports and shared files
PDF reports, exported images and manual backup files go only to destinations chosen by you through Android's document picker or Sharesheet. DimNote does not choose a remote destination or silently upload these files.
8. Google Play Billing / DimNote Pro
DimNote Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play Billing. Google Play handles the purchase transaction and purchase ownership. DimNote keeps a local entitlement state to provide the purchased features; that entitlement is excluded from manual .dimnote backups and Android system backup.
9. No advertising
DimNote does not contain advertising and does not share data with an advertising network.
10. No analytics or behavioral tracking
DimNote does not operate analytics, crash-behavior profiling, advertising identifiers or behavioral tracking.
11. No NovaCoreLabs cloud account/backend
NovaCoreLabs does not operate a DimNote cloud account or analytics backend. DimNote does not require you to create a NovaCoreLabs account for local use.
12. Third-party platform services
Android system services and Google Play may process information as needed to provide device backup, app distribution and billing. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
13. Data retention
Local DimNote data remains on the device until you delete it, uninstall the app, clear its app data, or replace it through a restore operation. Files that you export or share are retained by the destination you choose.
14. Deleting data
The Delete all DimNote data action removes local projects, canonical imported photos, annotations, calibrations, derived thumbnails and ordinary local project data after confirmation. It does not remove Google Play purchase ownership. Android/Google backup copies and files already exported to another destination are governed by those services and destinations.
15. Security
DimNote uses app-private storage and avoids placing entitlement state in manual backups. No storage method can guarantee absolute security, so keep exported files and device access protected.
16. Children's privacy
DimNote is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.
17. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when DimNote's behavior or legal requirements change. The current version is available inside the app.

19. Measurement/accuracy disclaimer
Measurements and calibrated or estimated dimensions can be affected by perspective, lens distortion, image quality, reference placement and user placement accuracy. DimNote measurements are for documentation and estimation; verify important real-world dimensions independently.
